Structure of the macro invertebrate population of Lake Buyo (Guessabo, west Côte d'Ivoire)

This study focused on the macroinvertebrate population in upstream waters of Lake Buyo. Data collection was carried out 4 stations (G1 to G4) from November 2017 October 2018. Sampling involved both physical-chemical parameters and macro invertebrates. Physical chemical (temperature. dissolved oxygen. pH conductivity) were measured situ using a multi-parameter at each sampling campaign. Water samples taken for subsequent determination nutrient salts (nitrate. phosphate. ammonium). Macro invertebrates collected dip net sediment bucket. The physico-chemical characterization Guessabo Bay showed that abiotic vary little one station another. inventory water body yielded 98 taxa divided into 59 families. 16 orders 07 classes belonging insects. gastropods. bivalves. crustaceans.
